Brean Country Club formally opened its doors to the public with a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by a sporting VIP on Tuesday 12 February.
The £4m venue was formally opened by former champion jockey John Francome MBE, a representative of the Injured Jockeys Fund, a charity that Brean Leisure Park has supported for many years.
Guests, who included Burnham’s former MP Tessa Munt, and local business connections were given a tour of the new facilities before a celebration lunch.
The Country Club serves as a venue for dining, weddings, plus private and corporate functions, school proms, family celebrations, team building days and a wide selection of business and community events.
The restaurant is open to the public daily and has a menu supporting locally sourced ingredients and suppliers, and with stunning views provides the perfect backdrop for lunch, afternoon tea & dinner.
The facilities, located next to Brean Golf Club’s course, feature two function suites – one seating 140, and another for casual dining.
The Country Club also has new facilities for golf players, with modern changing and locker rooms and a stylish new Pro shop being just some of the new additions for all to enjoy. Prospective members are always welcome to come for a tour.
A lodge development completes the project, with lodges positioned adjacent to the Country Club and surrounding the golf course, which are available for sale or hire.
This new venue has created up to 15 positions from within the local area and is an addition to the family-owned business that also includes the business operations of Brean Leisure Park and Holiday Resort Unity.
