Our Booking Policy

1. BOOKING TERMS

1.1 What these terms cover. All bookings for tables at “The View Restaurant & Bar” at Brean Country Club (whether or not a deposit has been paid) (“Bookings”) are subject to these terms and conditions. By making a Booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1.2 Why you should read these terms. Please read these terms carefully before you make a Booking. These terms tell you who we are, how you can book your table, how and when you and we may change the booking, what to do if there is a problem and other important information. If you think that there is a mistake in these terms, or you are unclear as to their meaning or have any questions regarding them, please contact us using the contact details below.

2. HOW TO MAKE YOUR BOOKING

 

2.1 How to book. You can make a booking request using our online booking form on the website, in person at the premises or by telephone using the contact number on the website.

2.2 Our right to reject a Booking Request.  We may accept or reject a Booking Request at our sole discretion.

2.3 Booking Confirmation. When you place a Booking request online, we will email you a Booking confirmation together with a reference number for your booking.  When you make a Booking request over the telephone or in person, we will confirm acceptance of your booking verbally.

2.4 Subject to availability.  All bookings are subject to availability

2.5 Deposits.  For event bookings, including (but not limited to) Festive Dining, Mother’s Day, NYE, Murder Mystery or larger tables of 10 or more people we will require a deposit for each adult to secure your booking.  We will let you know at the point of booking how much deposit is required (if any). Where a deposit is required, a booking will not be accepted or treated as confirmed until the deposit has been paid. We reserve the right to cancel any bookings that have an outstanding deposit balance. Deposits are redeemable against your bill on the day of your booking or as part of payment for an event booking.  Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable (except where clause 4.2.1 below applies).

2.6 Card pre-authorisation. We may request card details to confirm your booking for certain booking types. No payment is taken but if your whole party doesn’t attend without cancelling or amending your booking, we may charge a no-show fee (see clause 4.2.2 below)

 

2.7 Special Events.  Payment for special events will be required via a £20.00 per person deposit with the balance due no more than one month prior to the event date.  Deposits are non-refundable for special events.

 

3. YOUR BOOKING

 

3.1 Please be prompt.  We can only hold tables for 10 minutes.   If you are later than this, we reserve the right to treat your reservation as a ‘No Show’ or cancellation.

 

3.2 Alcohol. Alcohol may only be purchased or consumed by persons aged 18 years or over and photographic identification may be required.  We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol at our sole discretion.

 

3.3 Vouchers and promotional offers. Vouchers and promotional offers are not always valid on certain menus or at certain times of the year.  Please contact us for more information or ask when you make a booking.  We reserve the right to change, amend or withdraw promotional offers at any time without prior notice.

 

3.4 Allergens. Due to the limited area where our food is prepared, it is not possible to guarantee the absence of allergens in our food and we cannot make a “free from” claim. Our menu descriptions do not include all ingredients, if you have a food allergy, please let us know before ordering.  Full allergen information is available on request. Please contact us if you have any concerns

 

3.4.1 Vegetarian and Vegan. We cannot guarantee that our vegetarian and vegan dishes have been cooked in dedicated vegan fryers. Please contact us for further information.

 

3.5 Menu availability. All menu items are subject to availability. 

 

3.6 Accessibility. Brean Country Club is accessible via a ramp into the main building, disabled toilets are available on both the ground and first floor along with lift access to the first floor should the restaurant be moved for a private event.  Please contact us in advance of your booking if anyone has any individual needs such as reduced mobility and we will be able to check that we are able to meet your individual needs.

 

3.7 Additional information. We may need information from you to complete your reservation, for example pre-order.  If so, this will have been told to you over the telephone or in the course of email exchanges. If you do not give us this information within a reasonable time of us asking for it, or if you give us incomplete or incorrect information, we may cancel your reservation.

 

3.8 Dress Code. Please note that we have a smart-casual dress code within our restaurant. Tops must be worn and no swim or beach wear.

3.9. Dogs and our venue.  We only allow registered assistance/guide dogs inside the restaurant.  However, we welcome all dogs on our outside terrace (weather and season permitting).

4. WEBSITE & MARKETING MATERIAL

4.1 Marketing information. Although we endeavour to ensure that our website and other marketing material are accurate, the content and information are provided for general information and may be subject to change.

 

4.2 Photography. Any photography on our website, menus or marketing material are for representative purposes only.

5. CANCELLATION OR CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING

 

5.1 If you wish to make a change to your booking.  Please contact us directly.  We will let you know if the change is possible including if a further deposit would be due. (Please also see the below clauses)

 

5.2 Cancelling. If you wish to cancel your booking for any reason, we would appreciate you letting us know as far in advance as possible.  You can cancel your booking by telephone, via your online booking confirmation or in person.

5.2.1 Cancelling 48 hours or more in advance. If a deposit has been paid this can be moved to an alternative date subject to availability.

5.2.2 Cancelling 48 hours or less before your booking. If a deposit or pre-authorisation has been taken and you either cancel or we class your booking as a “no show” the deposit will be retained or pre-authorisation claimed.

5.2.3 Cancelling a “special event”. Bookings for Special Events are non-refundable.

5.3 We may cancel your reservation if you do not pay us any amount when you are supposed to (for example any advance deposit we require from you) by the date we specify. We will contact you to tell you we are cancelling your reservation.

 

5.4 Cancellation by the venue. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation by contacting you (using the methods given at the time of booking).  We will endeavour to provide you with as much notice as is reasonably possible if we have to cancel your booking for any reason.

 

5.5 Cancellation Charges. How cancellation charges are paid. Cancellation charges will usually be charged to the credit or debit card you supplied to us at the time of your initial booking. If we are unable to charge your card in this way, we will contact you to organise an alternative means of payment.

 

6. LIABILITY TO YOU

 

6.1 All property left on our premises is entirely at the owner's own risk. We do not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any property left or brought onto the premises.

7. HOW WILL WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

 

7.1 How we will use your personal information.  Your privacy is important to us and we will endeavour to keep your personal information safe and secure.  We will use the personal information you provide to us:

7.1.1 to administer your booking and supply your table

7.1.2 to enable us to process any payment or pre-authorisation

 

7.1.3 if you agreed during the booking process to receive updates or information on future events we provide.  You may stop receiving these at any time by contacting us.

8. ENTERTAINMENT

 

8.1 Entertainment. We reserve the right to change or amend any pre-booked entertainment.
